What do you need to know about ESC ( Electronic Stability Control )
General imported vehicles in New Zealand require ESC in order to be able to meet the new NZTA regulations although Pre 2018 Toyota Hiace does not have ESC
However, the requirement does not apply to some specialist vehicles
If Hiace without ESC is used for individuals with disabilities then you can apply for funding from Lottery Individuals with Disabilities
Once you are approved to get funding then you can apply here for an Exemption from Land Transport Rules.
